Latec played a strategic role in the design and execution of the civil and electromechanical works for the high-voltage substation located in Pontelandolfo, in the province of Benevento. The facility covers a total area of approximately 32,000 m² and is currently configured with a 150 kV section consisting of 11 bays, with provisions for future expansion to 380/150 kV.

The project also included coordination with the company responsible for constructing the transmission lines, contributing to the development of the energy transmission infrastructure and its integration into the national grid.

The substation is located in an area with strong potential for renewable energy development, with several ongoing investments in new wind farms. The plant is currently connected to the grid for the injection of energy generated by existing wind parks, with capacity expected to increase over time.
This project strengthens Latec’s role in the energy transition and in the development of strategic infrastructure supporting the decarbonization of the national power system.
